Holladay Distillery Supports Eastern Kentucky Flood Relief
(August 2022: Holladay Distillery joins the Kentucky Bourbon Benefit) The bourbon community has come together to support recovery and rebuilding efforts after devastating floods in Kentucky earlier this year.
Fred Minnick (Kentucky Distillers’ Association whiskey reviewer and author), Westport Whiskey & Wine, and the Bourbon Crusaders, have organized the Kentucky Bourbon Benefit, in hopes of raising significant relief funds from their online auction, just as they have for past charities.
All of the proceeds from this ten-day auction will go directly to the Team Eastern Kentucky Flood Relief Fund, which was set up by the state of Kentucky. Those who do not wish to bid on an auction item can make a monetary donation. But they will be missing out on an amazing opportunity to snag vintage bottles of bourbon, unique offerings, and interactive whiskey experiences!
Our very own Holladay Distillery (of Weston, Missouri) joins the Kentucky Bourbon Benefit this year, and is proud to offer its very first single barrel at barrel proof, as part of the auction relief efforts.
Ben Holladay Bourbon is a six-year-old, Bottled-in-Bond, Real Missouri Bourbon from the Holladay Distillery in Weston, Missouri. The Holladay Distillery was founded in 1856 by “Stagecoach King” Ben Holladay on land first charted by Lewis and Clark, who noted the property’s limestone springs on their expedition to the West in 1804.
The winning bidder of this ‘Single Barrel Experience‘ will join us in Weston, Missouri, to select the barrel alongside Master Distiller Kyle Merklein and be the guest of honor at a private event celebrating the Holladay Distillery’s very first single barrel experience. Date and delivery details to be mutually determined by the Holladay Distillery and the winning bidder.
The auction will remain open until 11 p.m. Sunday, August 21, 2022. New items will be added daily and you can continue to register to bid until closing.

Holladay is the oldest distillery west of the Mississippi still operating on its original site. The distillery underwent a $10 million renovation of its original 1856 stillhouse in 2015 and started making bourbon on-site again for the first time in three decades. After aging for six years in an ironclad rickhouse in the rolling hills of historic Weston, Ben Holladay Bourbon is its inaugural release.
