Happy 10,000th barrel day, everyone!
Today marks Holladay’s 10,000th barrel. We’ve come so far since we returned to our bourbon-making roots four years ago, and I think the Holladay brothers would be proud of this milestone.
Long ago, Ben Holladay and his brother, Major David, recognized the full potential of this location and, most importantly, the full power of the limestone springs. They were Kentucky natives with bourbon in their blood, and they knew full and well that the Holladay grounds harnessed that special something it takes to make quality bourbon.
While other local distilleries are also realizing the recent trend back to craft bourbon and appealing consumers’ increasing tendencies to prize quality over value, we stand apart with the size and scope of our operation. Don’t believe me?
Just ask the 10,000th barrel:
