Have you ever heard of Kombucha (pronounced kom-BOO-cha)? It’s a lightly fermented tea drink that has gained popularity among the natural food market for its numerous health benefits. Chief among these healthy perks are improved digestion, reduced stress, and increased energy. Personally, I enjoy the taste of kombucha. When made right, it’s delightfully fizzy and sour in the most satisfying sense of the word, like sour beer or your favorite sour candy. It can taste fruity, spicy, floral, or even herbaceous (I once tried a lavender kombucha that ROCKED MY TASTEBUDS!)
My point here, folks, is that if you’ve never tried kombucha, you’re missing out. And now, you have more reasons to give it a go than ever before. Why, you ask? Let me fill you in…
Last weekend, we worked with the local kombucha company, Tea-Biotics, to make cocktails for the Good Living Expo. The two-day event targeted “all men, women, and families who wanted to enhance or maintain their lifestyle through fitness, natural beauty, nutrition and diet, weight loss, and staying or becoming healthy both physically and mentally.” The 360 Vodka and Tea-Biotics collaboration was made in an effort to demonstrate a healthier approach to a simple, quality cocktail.
